How Does Your Saddle Compare?

Buzz words make it confusing for riders to compare saddles. ‘Flexible’ or ‘Flex’ refers to the saddle tree. A ‘flexible’ tree is usually composed of a composite material that is not rigid, allowing the saddle to ‘flex’ with the lateral movement of the horse.
‘Adjustable’ refers to the adjustability of the gullet plate. There are 2 different types of adjustable saddles available on the market. One system has an interchangeable set of plates which the rider inserts to change the angle of the gullet plate.
