Back by popular demand, MKB Dressage welcomes the return of these two outstanding educators to Orange County, NY. We are excited to finally unite these passionate equestrian professionals under the same roof. This will be a highly educational event for dressage enthusiasts and compassionate horsemen. We strongly encourage all participants (riders/auditors, horse & riders for saddle fitting evaluations) to register early as this will be a limited space event.
Christian Carde is renowned globally for his "old world " principles and techniques regarding correct classical training for competition dressage horses. He is an expert at 'in hand' and 'long reining' but most noted for his ground work in piaffe and passage. His academic education from Gen. Alexis Francois L'Hotte and Gen. Albert Decarpentary are among his greatest directives. He cites Nuno Oliveria and Willi Schultheiss (both whom he trained with) as the two most influential horsemen in his life. Come see this true equestrian artistic master at work and train your eye towards " the classical way ".
Jochen Schleese needs little introduction. He was the Official Saddler for the 2005, 2007 and 2009 World Cup Finals (as well as for the World Dressage Championships in 1986). Jochen has also been a guest speaker at the last three USDF/ FEI Trainer's Conventions in Florida and California - the most recent with Henk van Bergen in January 2009. He graduated from Passier as the youngest Certified Master Saddler in Europe. He invented the only true female saddle and is the founder of the highly successful "Saddlefit4Life®" system. This unique "on-site" saddle fitting system is recommended and used by top veterinarians (Dr. Gerd Heuschmann "If Horses Could Speak") and successful international riders (Heike Kemmer - 2008 Olympic Team Gold Medalist and Individual Bronze Dressage Medalist). Jochen will be accepting a limited amount of on-site evaluations for horse and rider that weekend.
