Consignment Policy

Consignment Commissions Highlights

• 35% for all 3rd party saddles
• 30% for Schleese saddles

Trading

• Saddles will only be accepted on a trade-in basis at 50% of fair market value towards a new saddle purchase.

Conditions

Schleese Saddlery Service Ltd will be pleased to accept saddles for sale or consignment on the express understanding that it will not be liable for any loss or damage to such saddle(s) however caused, and subject to the following terms and saddle criteria:


• Preferably less than 5 years old (at our discretion, depending on individual saddle condition)
• Head office will make the final decision on assessed value and will process an invoice receipt to be sent to the client. Clients should also be aware of the following caveats:
• Client’s saddle is going to be allowed out for *try-outs, and as such may show some signs of additional usage, which could reduce the price expected.
• Client will be charged for return shipping if the saddle is not sold within 3 months and/or its return is requested.
• Saddle may be sold at lower than the price quoted, but client reserves the right to approve any offers that are made on it
• Saddle must be sound and in good condition (no broken trees)
*Only JES, and Schleese saddles will be accepted as a trade-in towards a new saddle purchase; third party saddles to be considered only if initially purchased from Schleese Saddlery Service Ltd.

Please note that all sales are final - exchange only (no refunds). Restocking and shipping charges will apply. No saddles will be sent out without horse information in order to ensure optimum fit and comfort for you and your horse.
