Spring is a good time to check the fit of your saddle; your horse deserves the freedom and protection of a properly fitted saddle. Check our schedule (link below) for exact dates and locations. Register early for your saddle fit session so you won’t miss out!
Our Saddle Fit Technicians are on the road in May and June in the following states: Arizona, Washington, California, New York, Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas, New England, Wisconsin, Nevada, Montana, Maryland, and Louisiana. Wow!

Remember...our Saddle Fit Technicians will no longer be able to fly with customer products, demo saddles or last minute requests (Customs Dept. procedures). Please advise your Agent or Coordinator of product requests at least 3 weeks in advance of the date. We will ship products in advance, based on your Coordinator’s “wish list”!

Michael Barisone (USA) competing in the 2007 Grand Prix Invitational, riding in a Schleese “Mivera” saddle! Michael and Neruda were the Grand Prix Special winners on the final day of the Palm Beach Dressage Derby, finishing with a score of 69.64 percent!

After having looked for the best saddle for my Lipizzan and for me for the last seven months (a horrific journey through many saddles professing to be specifically for this breed), I have found the perfect fit in a gently used Schleese semi custom saddle. The horse and I are thrilled!
But even more importantly, I wanted to let you know that I found the Schleese representatives whom I contacted to be courteous, enthusiastic and most willing to help. They knew me only through emails, yet were willing to give advice and to search for a saddle and a happy ending. Meet Our Staff- Phil Craine- Production Supervisor
Phil has been working with Schleese Saddlery Service Ltd. since 2 years, and started out as our leather cutter. He has recently been promoted to production supervisor and is enjoying his new responsibilities, working closely together with our Certified Master Saddler and Chief Designer, Sonja Mueller. Phil says “the people and the products we produce, make working at Schleese a truly enjoyable experience. It’s a team atmosphere in the shop, someone is always there to lend a hand if needed or offering ideas on ways we can improve our products or procedures. At the end of the day just knowing you’ve had a hand in creating something that is truly unique makes it all worthwhile.”
In his spare time Phil enjoys spending time with his family going on camping trips, swimming and other outdoor activities (no riding, yet – Ed.) He also enjoys golf and darts when time allows. His favourite saddle is the Pouvoir, especially in two-tone. The combination of colors and accents Schleese offers sets this jumping saddle apart from the crowd.

Udo Lange
6-time German professional dressage champion, honoured with the title of "Master Rider" and a trainer for the DOKR (German Olympic Committee for Riding)
Udo Lange and his partner Christilot Boylen have been working with Schleese since 1992. They were the first international professionals who helped to design one of our signature series saddles, and these Schleese models were the first English saddles made in North America to be actively exported back to Europe!
Udo and Christi make their home in South Germany, but spend several weeks of the year travelling to Canada to train our top riders here. We are presently re-designing the UL saddle for the German market, and have reworked the CHB Supreme to incorporate the latest technology and materials as well!
