The Schleese Full Custom saddle is made to meet your unique requirements. A custom plaster “butt” cast is taken and the seat is made fully custom for you, above and beyond our regular “customization” options second to none on the market.

Limited Edition Saddles

The Schleese Limited Edition includes all the characteristics of a full custom saddle. In addition, it also includes two personal visits by Jochen Schleese, Certified Master Saddler and Saddle Ergonomist. The first is to measure your horse, and the second is for personal delivery of your saddle (anywhere in the USA or Canada).  Only a limited number are available per year.

The many male and female “butt casts” that Jochen Schleese has made over the years clearly indicates the obvious anatomical differences in pelvic structure between the two sexes.  Although these two riders are very similar in body shape on the outside, their “butt casts clearly show the differences in their pelvic points of reference.  Below the male (right) has two points of contact on the saddle at the seat bones, which are closer together than those of the female (left). In addition, the female pelvis has a third point of contact at the front (her pubic symphysis).
